... And whoever saves a life is as though he has saved all mankind.
- The Quran
"At the core of each organization is an individual with an idea.
Behind every successful man stands a woman with an idea. Behind every noble idea is one kind person or two. Awareness Ties is that noble idea of Jack and Allié. Jack is just a 'Navy guy' (and I, Army strong) but Allié is stronger. A powerful voice, a leader, a mentor, a partner, a mother, a friend and a sister.
August 2021, when Afghanistan fell into the hands of the terrorists, my god-daughter did not reach out to me, even though I am a trained US Army NCO with combat deployments, but instead called Allie to help rescue her to safety. Together with Jack, Allié was successful and she did just that—saved a girl she had never met before from the clutches of the Taliban.
That is Allié! I support Allié and Jack in their noble cause to bring awareness thru Awareness Ties because they bring change, give love, bring meaningful impact and because they save lives. Together, we will no longer ask for permission to change the world.
Finally, I support Awareness Ties because I love Forest (their 3-year-old)."
America is that shining star the world turns to and so it is better I as an American pay with my blood than for America to pay with its reputation.
About Legend
"Legend” is an Afghan-American, former U.S. Army Staff Sergeant currently working tirelessly to evacuate at-risk humans from persecution by the terrorists.
Since the fall of Kabul in August 2021, Legend has assisted hundreds of at-risk Afghans, U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, vetted-allies, and persecuted religious minorities to safety. Most recently, he returned to Afghanistan to personally aid in the evacuations. He continues to work day and night with numerous stakeholder groups who call on “Legend” to assist those in desperate need.
Prior to the 2021 evacuation efforts, he served in the U.S. military directly in Afghanistan and then focused on anti-terrorism efforts.
Legend is a writer.
Days before 9/11, he came to the U.S. from Afghanistan as a teenage refugee with a bag of clothes and limited English. He joined the U.S. Army only a few years later. “Legend” has been fighting for American freedoms, liberty, and prosperity ever since.
"It is better I as an American pay with my blood than for America to pay with its reputation," says Legend, and that is why he is helping keep America's promises.
